Delicious Shrimp Dinner

My awesome father-in-law (who lives in Alaska and does commercial fishing) sent my husband and I some delicious seafood last weekend.  Halibut, salmon, smoked salmon (my favorite!), and shrimp.  Last night my husband made us a delicious shrimp dinner.  So simple yet so good!

Boiling the shrimp is the first step.  The shrimp should rise to the top when it is finished.  This shouldn't take too long- it only took about 20-30 minutes.  It should look just like the yummy looking picture below.

While the shrimp is boiling, you can prepare really whatever you want to dip the shrimp in.  We just did some garlic and butter- and it was amazing.  We diced up about 2 or 3 garlic cloves and put in a skillet with about 1/2 cup of butter melting and let those two things mix together for a bit.

And voila! You have some delicious shrimp for a meal!  We sided ours with rice.  Rice goes with anything in Hawaii. :)
